Robert S. Rubin PhD

​

Dr. Robert S. Rubin is a Professor of Management and Associate Dean in the Driehaus College of Business at DePaul University. Professor Rubin is an award winning teacher and scholar specializing in the areas of organizational behavior, management education and human resource management. His current research examines leadership assessment and development, organizational citizenship behavior and self-other awareness in teams. He has been published in numerous books and leading academic journals including the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, The Leadership Quarterly and Academy of Management Learning & Education.

 

Dr. Rubin is a former Associate Editor of the Academy of Management Learning & Education, and the current Director of the Doctorate in Business Administration program. Dr. Rubin co-authored a textbook (McGraw Hill) entitled, Managing Organizational Behavior: What Great Managers Know and Do and his research has been profiled in national publications including BusinessWeek, The Wall Street Journal, The Chicago Tribune, The Financial Times and the Chronicle of Higher Education.

 

In addition to his academic work, Bob is an active human resources and organization development consultant to a variety of industries including financial, healthcare, and transportation serving such clients as Allstate, Capsim, Discover Financial Services, Inteliquent, Lenze America, Heitman, Fifth Third Bank, Thyssen Krupp, and Vi.  His consulting work spans human capital management, leadership assessment and development and organization development.
