Our executive team provides leadership to the organization and holds regular virtual meetings monthly. The team is composed of the President, VP of Membership, VP of Programs, VP of Marketing & CommunicationVP of Technology / Web Administrator, Treasurer, and Secretary/Historian.

Beth Melillo - President

Beth Melillo is a Program Manager for Business Change at National Grid, a large gas and electric utility provider in the Northeast US and United Kingdom.  Her current focus is on change management, organizational development and team effectiveness.  Throughout the last five years at National Grid she has been part of a number of strategic projects including: an enterprise-wide cultural transformation to become a more purpose-driven and results oriented organization, a values campaign, a US-wide push to increase individual development planning, and a shift to hybrid working for office-based employees.  For several years she managed the global performance management process for six performance segments and 24,000+ colleagues. She is currently involved in increasing change readiness in the New York business unit as the organization shifts to becomes a more clean, fair, and affordable energy provider.  She is a seasoned internal presenter and facilitator, having designed and led over 25 sessions focused on writing an effective personal development plan and more than a dozen team effectiveness sessions with senior leader groups.  Prior to her role at National Grid, she was an HR generalist role at a construction subcontractor and performed a variety of tasks across the employee life cycle.  She has also presented at SIOP on the topics of Hybrid Working (2022), DEI and Performance Management (2023), and Cultural Solutions for Retention (2023).

 

Beth holds an MS in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Salem State University and is Prosci change-certified.  She received a BA in English Language & Literature from Gordon College and began her career working with adults with developmental disability.  Fun fact, one of the nudges for Beth toward pursuing a career in IO was taking the O*Net assessment and receiving the result that she should be an IO Psychologist.

Ryan McCreedy - VP of Programs

Ryan McCreedy is a Senior Organizational Effectiveness Consultant at Slalom Consulting where he specializes in bringing evidence-based approaches to talent and organizational development initiatives at Fortune 100 companies in the Boston area, as well as co-leading behavioral experiments with the Slalom HabLab, in partnership with the Wharton Neuroscience Initiative. Outside of consulting, Ryan actively conducts research on organizational behavior and psychology while assisting multiple graduate courses as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard Extension School. His interests in business and leadership are further exemplified by previously founding a start-up, serving as Program Chair & Lecturer with the Leadership Fairfax Emerging Leaders Institute, lecturing to GMU undergraduates and William & Mary MBA students, and his founding of the Harvard Extension Student Management and Finance Club.

 

Ryan holds a B.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from George Mason University, an A.L.M Degree in Management and Graduate Certificate in Organizational Behavior from Harvard Extension School, and is currently a doctoral candidate at William James College, concentrating on the intersection of neuroscience and organizational psychology in the Psy.D. of Leadership Psychology program.

Mia Tran - VP of Marketing & Communication

Mia is an Associate Professor and Program Director of the Industrial/Organizational Psychology graduate program at Springfield College. She teaches topics on organizational development and change management, consulting skills, and research. She is also a learning facilitator for online executive education programs of leadership, negotiation, and people analytics at Emeritus Institute of Management in partnership with MIT, Columbia, Dartmouth, University of Pennsylvania, University of Cambridge and National University of Singapore. Additionally, she leads her own independent consulting practice that focuses on organizational assessments and  diversity and inclusion. Her works have been presented at 22 national and international conferences, such as the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Academy of Management, American Psychological Association, and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion International Conference. She is a co-editor of the Diversity Ideologies in Organizations book, and published in the Advances in Developing Human Resource and Psychological Health of Women of Color: Intersections, Challenges, and Opportunities. 

 

She earned a B.S. in Psychology and Business Management from Georgia Southern University and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Georgia. Mia enjoys practicing Bikram yoga, as well as traveling.

Ryan Stebbins - VP of Technology, Web Administrator

Ryan is a highly skilled Learning & Development professional with a broad background in Project and Change Management as well as Instructional Design. Alongside these skills he provides a psychology-centric model of Training with a focus on both individual learning and overall business outcomes.

Throughout his career, Ryan has worked and consulted through the company Intellezy with organizations such as National Grid and Eversource to design, develop, and deliver effective training and change programs enhancing employee skillsets and assisting with business acquisitions. Leading teams from 1 - 10 Ryan has organized and overseen the delivery of over 100 virtual and live training sessions, as well as the creation and review of over 50 reference guides, demo videos, and full eLearning courses. 

 

Additionally, Ryan has managed the organization, launch, and implementation of Content Management Systems (CRMs) such as Seismic and assisted in the selection and acquisition of various Learning Management Systems (LMS). Ryan also brings extensive experience in a variety of technical programs for eLearning development such as Camtasia, Articulate 360, Rise 360, and iorad as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and G Suite.

 

Ryan received his Masters in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from Salem State University and his Bachelors in Psychology from Umass Amherst.

Andrea Meggison - Secretary, Treasurer

Andrea Meggison is an I/O Psychology Practitioner with expertise in organizational development and talent management consulting. With over 15 years of management, leadership development, and project management experience, Andrea is a seasoned professional. She is a strong proponent of systems thinking and data-driven decision making. Throughout her tenure in the banking industry, she managed operations centers across the U.S and spearheaded multiple cross-functional initiatives. This allowed her to hone her coaching and leadership skills as well as business acumen. Seeking to broaden her knowledge base, Andrea pursued a Master's in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, where she gained both academic and practical experience as a graduate consultant in several industries, including automotive, shipping, insurance, and government. Andrea’s current role is as a freelance consultant. She has partnered with a diverse range of organizations to diagnose and offer recommendations to improve employee engagement, data analysis and dashboard design, mentorship program development and execution, survey design and analysis, strategic planning and training for culture shifts, and overhauling development programs for high potential employees.

 

Andrea earned both a B.S in Psychology and a M.A in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University. Andrea serves her community by acting as Co-Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee for the town of Sudbury MA, where she collaborates on initiatives to drive tangible outcomes for underrepresented groups. She is also a committee member for the Lived Experiences committee, a major DEI initiative for Sudbury. Her research interests include executive function and working memory, ethics, counterproductive work behaviors, stress, and the dark triad.
